Sevilla striker Rafa Mir has completed a loan move to newly promoted La Liga side Elche C.F. for the upcoming season. The agreement was finalised on Sunday, August 17, 2025, and marks the forward’s second consecutive loan spell away from the club.
Mir, who joined Sevilla in the summer of 2021 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Valencia, where he made 22 appearances and scored two goals. His time at Sevilla saw him play in 105 games across all competitions, netting 24 goals and providing two assists.
The move to Elche provides Mir with an opportunity for regular playing time after he was reportedly deemed not part of the plans for new Sevilla coach Matías Almeyda.
Elche, who secured promotion to La Liga for the 2025-26 season after finishing second in the Segunda División, have been actively seeking a striker a request from their coach, Eder Sarabia. The club has also completed the signing of Portuguese striker Andre Silva from RB Leipzig and will hope both signings will help them stay in the Spanish top flight.
Mir could be in line to make his debut for Elche in their next La Liga match against Atletico Madrid. Elche started their season with a 1-1 draw against Real Betis.
